I'm Jerry Bag-ao, based in Tagbilaran City.

I didn't come to AI through computer science. I started as a service engineer for Disco Japan's local agency in Manila, selling and servicing wafer dicing and grinding machines for the semiconductor industry. Precision work, demanding clients, no margin for error, zero downtime allowed.

From there I moved into oil and gas seismic exploration, working across nearly every department on the research vessel. The trainings took me through most continents and put me alongside engineers of multiple nationalities. You learn fast when the equipment is down. When safety is at stake, you make decisions with life-and-death consequences, and the work doesn't care about your accent.

That international stretch is what changed how I see opportunity. It widened my mindset enough to notice the one thing happening now that I couldn't ignore:

AI is the only entity that gives someone starting from scratch a real chance. The window is too high-potential to ignore.

So I came home. I started in Bohol because this is where I was born, and because the gap is obvious. The countryside has fewer opportunities than Manila, and far fewer than the international markets I worked in. Most local businesses are underprivileged in tooling, not in talent.

My mission is simple: I want the small business owner to compete on the same footing as the bigger players. The sari-sari store operator. The family-run resort. The single-location service shop. Same automation. Same data clarity. Same advantage. Just at a price they can actually pay.

It's a broad vision. But every founding client I take on is one step closer.
